Good evening. We have an update on the dire situation in Syria. Dr. Amira Fara, the head of the emergency room, joins us now. Dr. Fara, what can you tell us about the current situation on the ground?

Thank you for having me. The situation is critical. We are seeing a high number of casualties arriving at the hospital. The medical facilities are overwhelmed, and we are facing severe shortages of medical supplies and medicine. Our staff is working around the clock, but we are at a breaking point.

We've received some aid, but it is not nearly enough to meet the demand. We are a part of a network of doctors and volunteers who are working to collect and transport medical supplies and donations to the affected areas in Syria.
